Virtual Reality Performance, VR Chat
‘Playlist Pools’ explores how technology grants us the ability to inhabit virtual bodies as alter egos, using the digital double of a computer avatar as a manipulable mannequin, a graphical stand-in for the human body.
Filmed and performed in the virtual world of VR Chat, Phelan uses this digital environment as a backdrop to stage her performance.
